The Rural Counties' Environmental Services Joint Powers Authority (ESJPA) was created in 1993 to help meet new challenging and costly State and Federal mandates regulating local solid waste management. The ESJPA works on behalf of its twenty-two member Counties and assists Counties in their efforts to comply with State and Federal environmental requirements.

Membership: The ESJPA Board of Directors is composed of one (1) County Supervisor from each member county and up to two (2) County technical staff from each County.
Meetings: Meetings are held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Rural County Representatives of California (RCRC) Conference Room, which is located at 1215 K Street, Sacramento CA. Lunch is provided.
